Cats in Underserved
Communities

Groups or communities with limited access to resources

As a result of inflation, many families (especially those in underserved communities) struggle to pay for food and veterinary service for their pets.

The cost of pet goods and services increased over 9% from 2023 to 2024.

In these under-resourced communities, unhoused pets need our help more than ever.

Kitty Karma provides resources to unhoused animals

Local not-for-profit organizations are essential in assisting animals in need in these communities. Through fundraising, Kitty Karma, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is able to take in community cats and their kittens and provide them with foster homes. Kitty Karma supplies foster families with everything these cats could ever want or need - food, litter, and toys are all included.  Through not-for-profits like Kitty Karma, families on a tight budget can help resolve the community cat problem

How does PurrUS help these foster cats?

PurrUS raises money for Kitty Karma and other charities through pet-sitting and dog walking. Every dollar made goes directly to pet charities.
